AI CV Diagnosis — FAQ
Straight answers to the questions job seekers ask most.
Why does my resume keep getting ignored?
Usually it is not about your ability — your profile loses visibility at three gates. Gate one is the ATS: mid-to-large companies auto-filter non-standard formats or missing keywords before any human reads you. Gate two is HR's 7-second scan: vague "responsible for" bullets leave no impression. Gate three is the hiring manager: they need a clear role story they can trust in interview. Arrie diagnoses where you lose visibility at each gate.
What is an ATS, and how do I get past it?
An Applicant Tracking System parses your file, extracts fields and matches keywords against the job posting, then scores and ranks candidates. To pass: use standard section headings (Work Experience / Education / Skills), avoid tables and multi-column layouts, keep date formats consistent, and mirror the posting's own keywords wherever they are truthful for you.
How does Arrie's AI diagnosis work?
Three AI analysts review your resume in parallel — an ATS specialist checks format and keywords, an interviewer hunts for the weaknesses a panel would probe, and a skills analyst maps your gaps against the target role. A chief consultant then synthesises everything into one report: six-dimension scores, a keyword gap table, before/after rewrite examples and difficulty-graded interview questions. It takes about 60–120 seconds. After the report, you can Refine my resume, Craft a cover letter, or Prepare my interview (full Interview Guide — needs a JD).
What does the free version include? Will I be charged?
The free diagnosis is complete: the six-dimension radar, key issues, keyword gap table, before/after rewrite examples, part of the Mock Interview Prediction set, and a branded report image (PNG) to download — no payment, no contact details. Free also includes watermarked previews of the refined CV, cover letter, and Interview Guide (Arrie logo + name). The paid unlock adds: full PDF report, ATS-friendly revised resume, tailored cover letter, and the full Interview Guide (editable documents by email). Mock Interview Prediction in the diagnosis is a teaser; Prepare my interview is the separate full prep pack.
What's the difference between Mock Interview Prediction and Prepare my interview?
Mock Interview Prediction is section 4 inside the diagnosis report (free shows a sample; the full set unlocks with paid). Prepare my interview builds a separate Interview Guide from your CV + JD: role-fit, graded questions, STAR drafts, pitch, and checklist — with its own watermarked preview on free.
Do I need to create an account?
No. No account, no sign-up, no email required — open the site, upload your resume, get the report in about a minute, close the page and you are done. A copy of your report stays in your own browser for convenience, and you can clear it with one click.
Is my resume safe? Will it be shared with recruiters or job platforms?
Never. Your resume is used only to generate your diagnosis, stored securely, and automatically deleted after 7 days. We never share it with any hiring platform or third party — where you apply is always your choice. A de-identified copy (name, phone and email removed) may be retained to improve our AI models; see the privacy note on the site.
How long does it take, and which file formats are supported?
Usually 60–120 seconds. PDF, DOCX and TXT are supported, up to 10 MB. Scanned or image-based PDFs work too — the system extracts the text with visual recognition before analysing.
Can I run a diagnosis without a target job description?
Yes. With a JD, your skill-match score and every recommendation are graded against that specific role, and the keyword gap table gets much sharper. Without one, the analysts infer your target role from the resume itself. Paste the JD if you can — the analysis is noticeably better.
Will the AI rewrite invent experience for me?
No — that is a hard rule. The rewrite only reorganises and strengthens what is already true in your resume; it never fabricates numbers, employers, dates or certificates. Figures only you know are marked with placeholders like [ADD: metric] for you to fill in. A resume that collapses under interview questioning is worse than a modest one.
What language is the report in? Are scores always identical?
The report follows the site language you choose (English, Traditional or Simplified Chinese). Scores are AI-assessed and may vary slightly between runs on the same resume — treat them as directional, and focus on the key issues and improvement list.
